Being potentially single makes me productive! (Okay, I gotta do something to keep my mind from obsessing over the situation and trying to puzzle it out. I admit it.) But, my apartment definitely appreciates it. "Hmm, maybe I'll be in relationship limbo more often. Hell on the heart, great on the body and apartment."
Anyways, who wants to see what I did today?

Batman Blows
...as a "superhero." Let's face it, Batman is just a glorified vigilante. True story. But don't just take my word for it, watch this.
In his defense though, who doesn't want to plow Catwoman?

Who's Missing?
Okay, so I have to say, I'm pretty excited for the Captain America movie that's coming out in like three weeks. But, it must be said, that I'm even more excited to see an Avengers movie, which is supposed to follow in the summer of next year. While the Captain America movie is obviously an origins movie, which would lead one to believe that the Avenger's movie will feature mostly original members as well, what I'd really like to see is at least some reference to Ms. Marvel.
If it's not fairly obvious by now, she's easily one of my favorite superheroes (although Rogue clearly beats her--don't even get me started about how they messed up her character in the X-men movies. Where was the Southern witty strong woman? Okay, in the first one she was still recovering from the shock of her powers, but the later ones? Couldn't they have made her self-esteem and wit come out a bit more?). More importantly thought, in the wake of the Civil War, Ms. Marvel was the leader of the Mighty Avengers.
Here's what I'm saying. What I really want to see is a movie about the superhero Civil War which leads into another Avengers movie depicting fallout from said war.
Besides, who doesn't want to see Warbird in a movie? Ms. Marvel's got SHIELD ties. C'mon. It'd be fuuuuun.

Clips of the Skye
Okay, so haaaave I mentioned how much I love this movie?
I'm spending all day tomorrow chilling with the boyfriend watching movies, playing video games, and eating way too much junk food. (Glory!)Seriously can't think of a better way to spend my Saturday (unless some miracle dream job and a new place to live suddenly fall into my lap *crosses fingers, hopes* ...yeah, don't think that's gonna happen.) Anyways, I put this movie on the list in between Scott Pilgrim and Devil May Cry 4.
Awesome lineup right? It's okay, I know you're jealous.
Anyways, it's awesome (and on Netflix instant play!). It's billed as sort of a Juno-esque deal, and I guess in a way it is. Mostly I think of it as a coming of age/loss of innocence and naivety sort of deal. I like it. So, I thought I'd share.

Picture This...
..Sicily, 1946. Oops! No, my bad.
So, last week the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strip thingies went on sale at work. (Guys, these things are seriously too expensive.) I've been dying to try them, so when they went on sale I pounced like the little lioness I am. (Rawr!)
When I was a little girl, I went antique shopping in a small town upstate and I saw these little silver bow rings. I just thought they were the most adorbale things I'd ever seen, but they were too expensive and at the time I didn't really wear rings. So, to buy one would be a waste. However, lately my mind has been thinking back on them, and I regret not buying one.
Being the clever internet whiz I am, I wondered if there was a chance I could find something similar online. And tah dah!
Alright, I've sounded like an infomercial for long enough (completely unintentional, I'm just Excited about my new stuff). Laterz!

How awesome do my nails look?!
| Super fantastic am I right? (and no, that's not a tattoo on my thumb, that's where I just got bored with a pen. I'm all of about 12 years old I tell you.) |
They say that they're supposed to last up to 10 days and most people have told me they don't really have a problem with chipping, but I actually work for a living. So, to say I was skeptical would be an understatement.
They started chipping on day 2. Nothing terribly noticeable because of the print, but it was there. So far, only two of my nails have started chipping, and I'm now on day 5. The real test will be Wednesday when I unload the truck and stock inventory at work. To prevent further chipping, I coated my nails with a coat of clear polish (actually I used that Hard as Nails stuff, because I'm pretty rough on my nails). But, I give them props for lasting through dish washing and five days of work. I did figure out that if your nails are short like mine, you can use one strip for two nails. So, that cuts the cost a bit.
*Sigh* I love me some nail polish.
In other news, I got a new ring! Isn't it cute?
Being the clever internet whiz I am, I wondered if there was a chance I could find something similar online. And tah dah!
Not exactly like the ones I remember, but still cute. Plus, the vendor was amazing. Great customer service, and since my shipment was delayed (by a day, maybe two), she threw in a second ring and this cute little case!
My only complaint is that the rings run about half a size too big it seems. Easily remedied if you know in advance.

Blast OFF!
*The song is "Old Hag" by The Corrs (which I don't own the rights to or anything), but the pictures are mine (so don't steal/borrow/make with the uncoolness with them, k?).
I went to see the final manned space shuttle launch recently, and this is what it looked like. In short, it was awesome. Be jealous, it's okay.
