Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone

Alright kids, I know I've been somewhat MIA, and it's totally my b. So first off, lemme ask, has anyone played Little Big Planet 2? I wanna know how it is. Gamestop reviews give it about a 9 out of 10, but I'd love some real comments/quick reviews. So, leave me a comment and lemme know!

Okay, let's talk video games (and I know what you're thinking, "Agaaaaaain?" Yes, again. Because my Ms. Marvel vol.  9 still isn't here yet, now that I have the money, and vol. 10 still has no release date. So there.).
I'd like to start out by saying I beat Hexic's survival mode. Didn't really think you were supposed to be able to do that, but apparently it only has 50 levels and being sick really makes my gaming skills moar awesome.
Moving right along (to something a bit less pathetic), Dance on Broadway (release date Mar. 15) has really caught my attention. How could a dance game with Fosse moves really be a bad thing? Not a big DDR-type gamer myself, but it does look interesting. At least I hope there will be Actual dance moves. If you bust out the skillz you learned from DDR in a club you just mark yourself as untouchable to the entire crowd. Now, I know what some of you are thinking, "Didn't that game already come out?" And why yes, it did, for the wii. But being that I know no real gamer with a wii and that both Kinect and Move are supposed to be scads better than the wii, it bears mentioning.

Speaking of bears! Next, there's Man vs. Wild. This game seems (not unlike the show itself) pretty stupid and boring to me. How do you make a game out of something like that? It's been described as a action-adventure platform, where you have to survive (manage your health, hydration, fatigue, etc) and ultimately find civilization (though presumably the choice to rejoin it will be up to you). Seems like there could be a lot of quite times out in the woods. Not so sure I'm feeling that.

The latest Marvel vs. Capcom installment comes out in February (the 15th to be precise). Phoenix (including Dark Phoenix), MODOK, and characters from the Mega Man universe are rumored to be in this one, which has me pretty psyched. Sounds like a great excuse to invite my friends over for a good ol' fashioned game night.

Lastly, I'm told there was a legitimate Beer Pong game recently (Jan. 24th) released for the Kinect. The only reference I could find to it was here. Unlike the 2008 wii game (that was formerly named this before the controversy that resulted in the eventual renaming and complete removal of all alcoholic references), this one seems to have flown completely under (my) radar, but I have to say, given the platform (ie, the Kinect, which uses your hands as the controllers) I bet this is fairly similar to the real thing. Though, I don't know if I'd want heavy drinking around my game consoles, but that's just me.

That's pretty much all I've got for the moment. I've been otherwise preoccupied with being sick, chatting up this guy who's obsessed with Borderlands (which pwns, if for no other reason than a cute little talking robot and having Cage The Elephant's "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" in its intro.) and Deathspank, and very soon to be making brownies with gummy bears in them (that's right, a geek girl that bakes, be intimidated). Like I said, don't forget to comment, even if it's to give your opinion about one of the other games I mentioned or to share one that's got you all excited.
